Hawaii has only about two dozen sleep providers spread across four Islands. The providers face challenges including limited accessibility of testing locations, assuring quality of testing, and maintaining reliable follow-up. Patients face the challenges of getting an appointment with a qualified practitioner, obtaining the needed studies, then obtaining authorization from their insurances for affordable therapies.
